Pogo Rogue is a roguelike 2D platformer where the entire adventure takes place on a pogo stick as you find a plethora of weapons, abilities and upgrades to power yourself up and reach the end!
The game is constructed by a series of hand-crafted chunks that are randomly strung together, and when combined with chests and shops, this helps make sure no two playthroughs are ever the same. My role in the creating game was constructing and polishing a majority of these chunks.
Pogo Rogue was made using GameMaker, and the procedural generation used sprites to gather the necessary information. Depending on the color of a pixel, the game would recognize what needed to be spawned there.
